Miami Open LIVE: Alcaraz vs Sinner LIVE – Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have set up their second successive semifinal clash in two weeks. Both the players last met at the Indian Wells semifinal and Alcaraz won the match in straight games. Sinner now eyes revenge against the Spaniard at Miami Open on Saturday, 1st April 2023.   • Carlos Alcaraz is in exceptional form at the moment. He has not dropped a set in his last 10 matches and looks unstoppable.
  • He is not only aiming to win his first Sunshine Double title, he is also still in contention to retain the top spot in the world rankings.
  • He began his campaign at Miami with a straight set win against Francisco Cerundolo 6-0, 6-2.
  • In the next two rounds he defeated Dusan Lajovic and Tommy Paul to set up clash against Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinal.
  • Against ninth seed Fritz, Alcaraz showed no sign of stopping as he sailed past the American with a 6-4, 6-2 win to reach his fourth successive semifinal in the tour this year.

  • Jannik Sinner is also yet to drop a set in the tournament. The 10th seeded Italian began the tournament with a straight set win against Laslo Djere in the second round.
  • Sinner then defeated Grigor Dimitrov 6-3, 6-4 in the third round and set up clash against sixth seeded Andrey Rublev in the fourth round.
  • Against a higher-ranked Rublev, he clinched a 6-2, 6-4 victory to advance to the quarterfinal. He met Emil Ruusuvuori next and sealed a 6-3, 6-1 win to set up clash against Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinal.
  • Sinner won the Open Sud de France title earlier this year. He also finished as runner-up at ATP Rotterdam. He now aims to reach his third final in the ATP Tour this year.

Alcaraz vs Sinner Head-to-Head: The upcoming contest will be the sixth time both the players will be facing each other. Alcaraz leads the head-to-head record 3-2. Before their last meeting at the Indian Wells Masters, they met at the US Open in 2022 and Alcaraz won that contest as well in five-sets. One can expect a close encounter against two players who are slowly building up a good rivalry in the tour.
