PCB to follow BCCI’s footsteps? Pakistan Cricket Board plans T10 League

It appears that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to following the footsteps of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Following the reports of BCCI mulling a tier-2 T10 cricket league, the PCB is also set to launch a T10 league.

According to CricketPakistan, The board is planning to host a trial T10 run after national team’s New Zealand tour, hosting six exhibition games in Rawalpindi which will feature both men’s and women’s teams.

PCB is also eyeing to add some international players in the mix and is planning to approach the English County club Middlesex for a partnership.

The aim of the trial is to see the reception of these matches. The board’s final decision on the league will depend on the crowd response.

Notably, the T10 format has taken over the cricketing world by storm since its launch in December 2017.

Abu Dhabi has successfully managed to attract crowd in the Abu Dhabi T10 league which takes place each year.

Zimbabwe also introduced their own Zim Afro T10 in July followed by USA, who launched US Masters T10 League in August.
