No time for training: Alyssa Healy blames lack of practice after second consecutive loss in WPL 2024

UP Warriorz have been thrashed by the Delhi Capitals. Their humiliating 9-wicket loss by Meg Lanning and Co. has caused Warroirz skipper Alyssa Healy to come out and defend her side. After their last loss, the wicketkeeper opener played it coy, claiming they created a lot of chances.

However, this time, Alyssa Healy has gone on the defense. The Aussies weren’t too kind to her pacer and even blamed the franchise for the lack of practice time given to them ahead of the WPL 2024 season. In the post-match presentation, she said:

“We don’t have too many pace bowling options anyway, couldn’t execute with the ball and didn’t play well overall. We could have put a few more runs on the board. Kapp was exceptional; we couldn’t adjust to the wicket and couldn’t post a good score. It’s not about being reckless, need to be smart with the decision-making. We have got to be better. Need to reflect on the way we played tonight; there was no real time for training. Just needed to turn up and get things done. We have a lot of choices, and we have a lot of difficult choices to make. We’ll decide what our best XI in a couple of nights.”
