Southpaw Venkatesh Iyer played a trailblazing knock that saw him register one of the fastest fifties in IPL history. The KKR star took just 24 deliveries to reach his half-century. After losing Sunil Narine early in the innings, Iyer steadied the ship for KKR, taking SRH bowlers to the cleaners.

Earlier, the record for the fastest fifty in the IPL final was jointly held by Suresh Raina and David Warner. The duo took 24 deliveries to reach their half-century.

Opting to bat first, SRH got off to a horrific start that saw a top-order collapse in the most crucial game. Chepauk did not get to witness the magic from the duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head as pacers Starc and Rana struck.

KKR continued to maintain pressure on SRH, not allowing them to play freely. The bowlers struck at regular intervals and managed to bowl out SRH by 113 runs. KKR now need 114 runs to lift their third IPL title.
