Suryakumar Yadav’s indifferent T20 form before the start of IPL 2025 is now a thing of the past. He came good on a special evening with a 43-ball 67. On Friday night, in his 100th IPL match for Mumbai Indians (MI), SKY smashed his 25th half-century during a high-octane chase against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Suryakumar Yadav makes his MI 10th special
Suryakumar Yadav, India’s T20I captain, had a difficult time with the bat in the series against England, scoring 0, 12, 14, 0 and 2 even as his side won 4-1.
However, SKY turned his form around in the IPL with 29 against Chennai Super Kings, 48 against Gujarat Titans and an unbeaten 27 in the victory over Kolkata Knight Riders.
Suryakumar Yadav reserved his best for a special night. He joined the likes of Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Harbjajan Singh, Lasith Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah, Ambati Rayudu and Hardik Pandya to play 100 matches for MI.
SKY has been with MI since 2011 and he decided to unleash some of his most breathtaking shots to send the LSG bowlers on a wild leather hunt.
Suryakumar Yadav’s knock was studded with 9 fours and a six and it was ultimately ended by Avesh Khan in the 17th over of the chase.
