India leaves for Australia
Virat Kohli, who arrived in India yesterday, joined the team in Delhi along with Rohit Sharma and travelled to Australia via Singapore. Shubman Gill, who’ll lead India’s ODI team for the first time on October 19, was also part of the contingent that left for Australia.
IPL valuation
The value of the IPL ecosystem has decreased by 17.73% in the last 2 years. In 2023, the league was valued at INR 92,500 crore, and after the IPL 2025 season, it stands at INR 76,100 crore. The Online Gaming Bill and JioCinema-Disney+ Hotstar merger are the reasons behind his decrease in value.
Harshit Rana over Prasidh Krishna
Former India opener Aakash Chopra won’t play Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Prasidh Krishna, and Kuldeep Yadav in India vs Australia 1st ODI. The first two are understandable since they are backups for KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma. But Aakash thinks Harshit Rana is a better option than Prasidh, while Kuldeep misses out to Washington Sundar and Axar Patel.

Kohli can handle the pressure

Nepal and Oman have qualified for the T20 World Cup. 3 teams were to qualify from the Asia-East Asia and Pacific (EAP) Qualifier, and even before the tournament has ended, 2 teams have qualified. The UAE, Japan, and Qatar will fight for the last spot.
Ranji Trophy starts with a bang
The first day of the Ranji Trophy Round 1 was action-packed. Vaibhav Suryavanshi couldn’t perform. Karun Nair, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Devdutt Padikkal scored fifties. Abhimanyu Easwaran and Prithvi Shaw scored ducks. Ishan Kishan scored a hundred, while Mohammed Shami got 3 wickets.
