Gambhir-Agarkar to discuss serious matters
Once the India vs South Africa ODI series ends, Ajit Agarkar and Gautam Gambhir will have to chat with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli about their future vis-à-vis the 2027 ODI World Cup. The BCCI still isn’t sure whether they’ll be able to maintain their top level by the time the ICC event arrives.
Hardik Pandya, fit again
The medical staff at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) has granted Hardik Pandya a Return to Play (RTP) clearance. The all-rounder who’s been out since suffering a left quadriceps injury during the 2025 Asia Cup will play a couple of matches for Baroda before featuring in India’s T20I series against South Africa.
Faf du Plessis skips IPL 2026 auction
Faf du Plessis, who was Delhi Capitals’ vice-captain last year, has decided to skip putting his name in for the IPL 2026 mini auction. Instead, the South Africa star has chosen to travel to Pakistan and play in PSL 2026, which will run in the same window as the Indian league.

Chahal’s auction prediction for Bishnoi
In a conversation with Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal stated that he’s got a feeling that Bishnoi would play for RR in the IPL 2026 season. Rajasthan don’t have a leg spinner since they released Wanindu Hasaranga and have INR 16.05 crore as a purse to find a replacement for him.
WPL 2026 schedule
The BCCI has announced the schedule for the WPL 2026 season. The board had already announced the venues and the beginning and end dates. The fourth edition will run for 28 days with 22 matches played, including two double-headers. The first 11 games will be played in Navi Mumbai and the remaining in Vadodara.
